Apple Raisin French Toast
2 cup Crisp Apple Reàl
2 eggs
2 cups heavy cream
Beans from 1/2 vanilla bean pod
1 pinch salt
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
8 slices brioche or Texas toast
1 stick unsalted butter, plus more for frying
1 apple, peeled and diced
1 Tablespoon golden raisins
Mix eggs, cream, Crisp Apple Reàl, vanilla beans, and spices thoroughly. Soak bread in mixture for 3 minutes.
Melt the butter in a small saucepan over medium-low heat, add apples and raisins, and cook for 5 minutes. Turn heat off and add Crisp Apple Reàl.
In a skillet over medium heat, melt 1 Tablespoon butter and cook soaked bread until golden brown on each side.
Serve individually or family-style on a platter, topped with Crisp Apple Reàl raisin mixture.
