Butter boards are the latest trend to sweep the internet, and we could not be more on board–pun intended. Using a butter board is the perfect opportunity to present butter with seasonal ingredients, and there are so many different ways to incorporate different flavors. Try some of our favorites on your next spread!
3 Butters You Can Add to Your Butter Board
Guava Apple Butter
3 cup Guava Reàl
Makes 1 Quart
4 Granny Smith apples, peeled, cored, and cut into chunks
4 Honeycrisp apples, peeled, cored, and cut into chunks
3/4 cup apple cider vinegar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup water
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 Tablespoon fresh lemon juice
3 cups Guava Reàl
1 Tablespoon apple pie spice or pumpkin pie spice
Combine all ingredients except Guava Reàl and spices in a saucepot. Simmer for 20 minutes, until apples are soft.
Add to blender; purée until smooth. Add back to pot along with Guava Reàl and spices, and simmer for another 15 minutes, until thickened. Store in refrigerator in an airtight container, or can in Mason jars.
Raspberry Apple Butter
3 cup Raspberry Reàl
Makes 1 Quart
