
Baked Pear
ingredients
1 cup Juicy Pear Reàl
1 whole pear
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 whole clove
1 whole star anise
1/4 c raisins
Garnish
Directions
Peel a whole pear and toss with fresh lemon juice.
Add to sauce pot and cover with port wine, 1 cup Pear Reàl, cinnamon, star anise, clove, salt, and raisins.
Bring to boil and immediately lower to a simmer.
Simmer until pear is just tender.
Remove from port wine, and cool in refrigerator.
Reduce wine mixture by half and reserve.
Serve with vanilla ice cream.
